There will never be a better Heavy Metal band better than Metallica. Many original fans turned their backs on them for the stunts they pulled a few years back with the lawsuits against fans and the not so creative Load, Reload, and St. Anger CD's. Their 80's music and Black album will always be the benchmark of rock/metal. Their new CD ranks up there with their 80's smash hits. Sure, there are other bands out there that are great. Here are a few of my other favorites... In Flames, Pantera, Godsmack, Rammstein, Megadeth, Foo Fighters, Marilyn Manson, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Bush, Seether, Chevelle, and a few others I can't think of right now. :) keep in mind, this is my opinion. it's not intended to upset anyone.

I agree with you, it is the main band I have still to see. I was in a serj tankian concert and it was great, but it's not system... I hope they make some concerts after finishing in south America.

Live, Bush, Kent, Oasis, Incubus, K's Choice, Garbage hmmmm to many to mention. i love this group. i can't get over from the 90's alternative music,

Now I wouldn't acctualy say that there are bands much better than metallica because kirk hammet is a beast with a guitar and one of my huge musical influences. But if your tryin to branch out check out the "pop goes punk" albums. As far as bands check out bring me the horizen, asking alixandria, a day to remember, the word alive, ex...

Ok first of all, why are we talking about Metal, and hard rock bands in an Alternative group? I for one Hate Metallica. They are the biggest sell outs ever! There are so many more bands out there that are better than them. My favorite Rock bands are 30 seconds to Mars, and Breaking Benjamin.
